Nikita Busyak-cities and sketches

Nikita Busyak, a native of Ukraine, calls himself an “urban sketcher”. His works primarily comprise in-depth architectural renderings of structures in his native Kharkiv and other places he has traveled. He is also a budding photographer and does digital artwork.

This skilled artist is able to capture the intricate details of the buildings that are all around him, concentrating on distinctive details that make the structures stand out in the urban landscape. Knowing that he solely uses pen and ink to create his drawings makes them much more remarkable.

Busyak also uses computer technologies to help him make his illustrations even more lifelike. After completing the sketch, he uses photo-editing software to subtly illuminate it, giving the already breathtaking scenery another degree of realism by making the light appear to be a natural occurrence inside the painting, to make the audience feel the warmth from each one of his illuminated sketches.

Given what we’ve seen of him thus far, the illumination of his work extends not only to the surface but also to the subtext.

On Instagram, where he has amassed more than 50K followers, Busyak displays his creations. Below are other examples of his illuminated architectural drawings and other sketches.
